To borrow from Benjamin Zander's TED talk http://tinyurl.com/n2huwa, I think the most important question we need to be asking, regardless of our industry or title is, "Who are we being that our [team's] eyes are not shining?"
Focus on what we could build; put personal agendas aside; and learn how great we could be if we choose to listen with the intention of learning, rather than arguing over semantics that have no impact on the final design.
